Home Buying 101

Buying a home and getting the home you want is more than just looking at houses from the outside and saying “Honey, I want that house, let’s buy it this month.”  Though this is the dream that we all have of seeing the home we wish for, putting in an offer and closing a few days later, this reality exists only for the small percentage of individuals.

Experienced and well versed sellers and listing agents only allow buyers that are pre-approved to purchase a property to enter into a home and go on tour of the property.  To get pre-approved for a loan is a vital necessity in today’s market.

Everyone has busy lives today, from the time spent commuting to and from work, spending time with children or other family members, some people have church or social events no just on Sunday but during the week, throw in the gym if you are lucky enough to have the time to work out.  With all these activities in our lives going on, using technology and web based systems is the simplest system to speed up the loan process.  This simplifies our life that we don’t feel stressed both on the phone nor having to drive through rush hour traffic in the morning or in the late afternoon or evening hours.

The time it takes to go through the online loan application process is approximately 20 to 40 minutes, depending on having your information readily available and how quick you are at typing.   Once the online loan application is complete, a pre-approval letter can be issued the same day, sometimes with-in the hour or if time permits.

We do not charge an upfront fee to our borrowers for pre-approval letters.  Others do this, but we do not charge our clients as we are looking for the competitive edge to help the applicant get the financing and to feel we are giving them the best service upfront.

To get a pre-approval, Ben Gerritsen can help you with a quick pre-approval for mortgage financing to buy a house  or your next property.  Ben is a mortgage loan officer in the states of Texas and Utah.
