Things you can do to build credit when you don’t have credit.
1. Go to a bank or a credit union to apply for a secured credit card that’s about $300. Use it ONLY for items you already need, not for wants. The pay half down immediately. Then make payments on the rest and time it to have it paid off within about 3 payments.
2. You can also go to credit.com and open up a secured card for about $250. The important thing here is to not use the card, just pay down the activation fee.
3. Pay your bills on time. In fact, if you pay your bills before they are due, you will have a higher score.
If you follow these steps you will have credit in 4 months that equals about 680
