About Park City, Utah
Park City is an old mining town located east of Salt Lake City (about a 30 to 45 minute drive from down town Salt Lake City) that is now the ski capital of Utah.
In addition to being the ski capital of Utah, it is the host for the Sundance film festival every year.
Deer Valley Utah is a part of Park City, Utah that is a high end ski resort. It has summer concerts and events that are a nice escape from the summer heat.
The snow gets piled up even higher than the 360 inches of snow we average each year. That explains why we’re named among the top 10 family resorts in North America every year. This season looks to continue that distinction thanks to more than $10 million in improvements. There truly is something for every member of the family. Most snow fall comes in December through February each year. January typically has the most snow fall each year.
Fortunately, getting here is not part of the adventure. The short 35-minute drive from Salt Lake City International Airport makes our resort among the most accessible winter destinations in the world. There are more than 700 daily flights arriving in Salt Lake City and you could be on the mountain skiing, snow boarding or on the trails with-in 1 hour. The drive time from Salt Lake City International Airport to Park City is less than 1 hour. It is the shortest commute from an international airport to a ski resort community in the country. All other ski resort communities have at minimum a 2 to 3 hour drive each way to and from the airport and th ski community.
This makes Salt Lake City, Park City and all of the surrounding ski resorts the most desirable and accessible ski destinations in the U.S.
