There are two major hospitals in Ogden, McKay Dee Hospital and Ogden Regional Hospital.

Public Transportation
UTA (Utah Transit Authority) connects North Ogden to downtown Ogden and the rest of the Wasatch Front every 15 minutes of the day. From downtown Ogden, you can connect not only to the rest of Ogden, but also the rest of the WasatchFront. From downtown Ogden, you can connect to Salt Lake by either bus or The Frontrunner. This is a convenient way to go to Salt Lake City, do work on the train with high speed internet access and not have to worry about traffic on I-15.
Education is high, there are 5 elementary schools in the area, 2 junior highs (North Ogden Junior High & Orien Junior High) and the high school, Weber High is among the top high schools in the entire state for education.
The elementary’s are: North Ogden Elementary, Green Acres Elementary, Bates Elementary, Lomand View Elementary (in Pleasant View, kids in parts of North Ogden attend Lomand View),
University & Technical schools.
Weber State University is a 15 to 20 minute drive from North Ogden. The Weber State Wildcats are the largest University in the area. Most students commute each way to school. There is a top business school, Dental program, nursing school and many other programs at the university. There is a football, basketball, track and field program at the school.
Weber Davis ATC (Area Technical College). There are many trades at this school. From hair dressing, fork lift driving, business clases, computer classes, database clases, technical school classes and many other trades.
Stevens Henager College of Business in Ogden is a great school for a business school, hair and others.
Churches
There are many churches in the area.
The predominant religion in the area is. There are seven stakes in the area
Pleasant View Stake, Pleasant View South Stake, Harrisville Stake, North Ogden Stake, North Ogden East Stake, Ben Lomand Stake, Cold Water Stake, a couple of Singles Wards for the North Ogden area,
There is a Lutheran church in the area and also some other churches in the north part of Ogden.
Whether you are a member of ”The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints” or a member of another faith or not, the people in the area are wonderful, friendly and loving to all people.
Recreation program(s)
There are many parks in North Ogden that are city owned by the city.
The rec program has football, baseball, basketball, flag football for the little kids, soccer for AYSO, indoor soccer in downtown Ogden, Weber High School has a wrestling program for agest 5 & up starting in the fall. There is a Rugby club at Weber High school
Dance programs for girls that are as young as 3 on up. Both private on through the schools. There are private dance schools in the area that are top dance studios for the girls.
Hiking & Biking
Hiking trails are all over. The hidden hiking trail is Skyline trail.
Mountain Biking is a huge part of the area.
Every July the Tour De Utah goes through North Ogden and the North Ogden pass.
Ski Resorts
Skiing, there are 3 major ski resorts on the other side of North Ogden. Powder Mountain, Snow Basin Ski Resort (home to the 2002 Olympic Down Hill venue) & Wolf Mountain Ski Resort.
These are the hidden gem ski resorts of Utah. Powder Mountain has night skiing. It also overlooks Cache Valley from its backside. Snow Basin has some of the fastest downhill ski events in the world. There are regular Alpine downhill ski events held there annually.
Lakes
There are two (2) Big Lakes for Boating / Water skiing / Jet Skiing & recreational activities.
On the east side of the mountains of Ogden, there is a lake called “Pine View Resivor”. It is famous for water skiing, boating, fishing and just going to have a picnic with the family or friends. In the winter, when frozen over it is also famous for ice fishing. Be sure to check with the depth of the ice with the Division of Wildlife Services prior t going on the ice for safety.
On the west side of I-15 & just North f Pleasant View is Willard Bay. Willard Bay is North of the Great Salt Lake. It has Ogden
Fishing & Camping
The Barker Fish Farm is a great family activity for the family, the little ones and also grown ups. The is also a fly fishing pond with 24 to 48″ inch fish.

The area is full of camping areas. Not just in North Ogden, but also on the east side of the mountains are the North & South Fork Rivers with many camp grounds.
Rock Climbing
The Ogden area has some of the best rock climbing walls in Utah. Ogden Canyon has both beginner climbing walls to advanced climbing walls. Parking is limited in the canyon, you need to be extra safe as it’s a narrow canyon. Always use climbing ropes, have the proper safety gear and wear a helmet, ropes, and other safety equipment. And always use an experienced climbing partner.
